The perfect, precise and easy to use palletizing and de-palletizing solution

Highly accurate, efficient, contour-based position and location detection of parts with a single camera

Solid detection using contours increase productivity
(Initiative Mittelstand)

Palletizing and de-palletizing tasks with the aid of robots requires an economic solution to determine the position and location of parts. 2D image processing systems, however, are unable to supply exact space coordinates. MONO2½D by ISRA VISION offers the intelligent solution. With a single camera, not only is the position of the workpiece determined in a plane, but also its position in height. Users can set up and install this innovative, easy to use technology for factory automation completely on their own with the "Plug & Automate" concept.

Users will find a solution for "pick and place" tasks in the MONO2½D robot vision from ISRA VISION. Compared to other solution options, MONO2½D has no overhead or cumbersome ballast whatsoever, and is specifically optimized for highly-precise, efficient and cost effective determination of the part's position and location. As a result, the system can be put into operation within just a few short hours.

MONO2½D expands proven 2D machine vision methods by adding the ability to detect the position of objects in terms of their height. And it does this with only a single camera. In addition to the camera, LED illumination is also installed in the MONO2½D sensor's rugged enclosure. The space-saving and rugged sensor can be integrated anywhere along the production line, either positioned permanently or attached to the robot's arm. It can be installed in any standard robot type. All major industrial standard interfaces are supported, making it possible to easily integrate seamlessly into upper-level automation solutions. Everything is prepared in advance, so that it only takes a few steps to complete a finished application.

All the system needs are the object's contour elements as the features for the teach-in process. It uses these to determine four degrees of freedom (x-y-z-red (z)) of an object reliably. It also comes with built-in plausibility checks. To put the user-friendly system into service, the user only needs to configure a few basic parameters, but does not need any programming experience. The software navigates him through the process, providing explanations for each set-up step. All work steps are clearly visualized and sensor and robot calibration is performed automatically. Everything takes place directly "on site" inside the workshop. The conclusion: Automation made simple - industrial image processing is easy even for those without expert knowledge.

The highly-efficient MONO2½D sensor allows the height of the component's position to be determined economically with a single camera. This sensor is the most efficient solution for palletizing and depalletizing, for loading and unloading, for picking and placing and for many more robot vision tasks. The highest degree of innovation, easiest set-up into industrial image processing even by users with no experience and its high ruggedness guarantee that the investment pays for itself quickly within a short amount of time - just "plug & automate".
