Nuclear Technologies: More Power, Heat, and Water for Cities

Herisau, 04.11.2026 (PresseBox) - Nuclear power plants heat cities, and radiation technology treats wastewater. Uranium Energy increased quarterly production by 157 percent; IsoEnergy reports the strongest radioactivity to date at Hurricane.

Nuclear Technology Delivers More Than Power

In Haiyang, China, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the local nuclear power plant heats the homes of around 400,000 residents. As of September 9, 2026, the IAEA counted 417 reactors in 31 countries; in 2024, nuclear power supplied 8.7 percent of the world’s electricity.

Nuclear techniques are also used beyond power plants. In Brazil, a mobile electron accelerator mounted on a truck treats industrial wastewater directly on site; the project was developed with the support of the IAEA. Gamma and electron beams can also complement the recycling of certain plastics.

In construction, nuclear measurement methods test bridges and buildings, for example after earthquakes, without damaging them. Electricity generation remains decisive for uranium demand: the International Energy Agency (IEA) expects 2.8 percent annual growth in nuclear power generation from 2026 to 2030.

Uranium Energy Increases Production

Uranium Energy - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-energy-corp/ - reported on September 29, for the fourth fiscal quarter, 82,744 pounds of U₃O₈ from the Christensen Ranch and Burke Hollow projects; Burke Hollow had started up on April 8. This is 157 percent more than in the previous quarter; total costs per pound fell by 33 percent to US$36.54.

As of July 31, UEC reported US$753 million in liquid assets and no debt. In Ludeman, Wyoming, the first wellfield of the planned third mine is under construction. A National Security Advisory Council established on October 13 is to accompany the planned entry into uranium conversion. Timelines and results remain contingent on successful execution.

IsoEnergy Advances Larocque East

IsoEnergy - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/isoenergy-ltd/ - owns 100 percent of the Larocque East project in the Athabasca Basin. The Hurricane resource (effective date July 8, 2022) comprises 63,800 metric tons indicated at 34.5 percent U₃O₈ (48.6 million pounds) and 54,300 metric tons inferred at 2.2 percent (2.7 million pounds). Resources are not reserves; their economic viability has not been demonstrated.

In the summer program, IsoEnergy drilled 10,159 meters in 26 holes and, according to the release of September 8, encountered the strongest radioactivity to date along the Hurricane South Trend. Measured radioactivity is not a uranium grade; laboratory analyses are still pending. Since August 19, IsoEnergy has held around 33 percent of DISA Uranium Corp., into which it contributed its Utah mines.

Conclusion: Uranium Energy and IsoEnergy Ahead of Milestones

The versatile use of nuclear energy for power, heat, and water creates a constructive environment for uranium companies. At UEC, the further production ramp-up and Ludeman are what matter; at IsoEnergy, the laboratory analyses of the summer drilling and the DISA interest. Financing, permits, and execution remain decisive. Uranium stocks carry additional company-specific risks and offer no price certainty.
