Chillventa 2026: unlocking future markets together with BITZER
Nuremberg/Sindelfingen, 12.10.2026 (PresseBox) - Artificial intelligence and decarbonisation are key drivers of the transformation of the HVAC+R industry. Under the motto SHAPING THE FUTURE WITH YOU, BITZER is showcasing at Chillventa 2026 in Hall 1, Stand 303, how customers and partners can successfully shape this transformation and unlock new opportunities. The focus is on solutions for data center cooling, large heat pumps and natural refrigerants.
AI applications, high-performance computing, increasingly stringent regulatory requirements and the transition towards sustainable energy systems are changing the requirements of the HVAC+R industry worldwide. At the same time, new opportunities are emerging for contractors, OEMs, wholesalers and operators. “Whether in data center cooling, large-scale heat pumps or natural refrigerants, our goal is to secure the success and growth of our customers and partners together with them,” says Martin Büchsel, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at BITZER. “To achieve this, we support them with the right products, our application expertise and our global network. That is what our motto, SHAPING THE FUTURE WITH YOU, stands for.”
Setting new standards for data center cooling
The ongoing global digitalization, the rapid growth of AI applications and high-performance computing are continuously increasing the demands placed on data centers. Rising power densities in server racks and higher heat loads require powerful cooling concepts that support availability, energy efficiency and scalability in equal measure. For contractors, this creates a dynamic growth market with demanding technical requirements.
“With HELICOM, we are presenting one of the most significant developments in our screw compressor technology,” says Rainer Große-Kracht, Vice-Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Techology Officer at BITZER. “The new series supports cooling systems for the latest generation of AI chips with supply temperatures of up to +45°C and enables standardised cooling platforms that can be deployed consistently around the world. HELICOM is built on more than four decades of BITZER experience in screw compressor technology.”
With its wide application limits, support for established low-GWP refrigerants and flexibility for different cooling concepts, the HELICOM CS60 series supports standardised cooling platforms for a wide range of load profiles, locations and climate zones. Optimised rotor profiles and efficient full and part load operation support demanding PUE targets. The series is also suited to the low-lift operation at low ambient temperatures that is typical of modern data centers. At the same time, the integrated IQ MODULE contributes to high operational reliability and availability.

Large-scale heat pumps: utilising the opportunities of the heat transition
The decarbonisation of heating is one of the greatest challenges of the energy transition. Large-scale heat pumps are a key technology in addressing this challenge. They enable the efficient use of ambient and waste heat for industrial applications, district heating networks as well as reversible heating and cooling systems in the cities of tomorrow. For contractors, this opens up long-term market opportunities in industry, energy supply and municipal infrastructure, as global demand for large-scale heat pumps continues to grow. However, practical implementation remains challenging due to high capacities, individual temperature requirements, integration into existing industrial processes or heating networks and increasing demands for efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness. BITZER is working to efficiently and reliably extend the application range of its heat pump components to condensing temperatures of more than +140°C.
With more than 50 years of experience in heat pump applications, BITZER offers a comprehensive portfolio of compressors, heat exchangers and frequency inverters, backed by extensive application expertise. One of the highlights at Chillventa 2026 is the CSH2T series. Developed specifically for high temperature heat pumps, these compact screw compressors enable fluid outlet temperatures of up to +120°C, making them suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial heating processes as well as district heating networks. Heating capacities of up to approximately 1.1 MW per compressor open up additional possibilities for high-capacity heat pump concepts.

Naturally future-proof: expanded portfolio for natural refrigerants
BITZER is presenting several additions to its portfolio for natural refrigerants at Chillventa. For transcritical CO₂ applications, the company is expanding its ECOLINE CO₂ series with new 6-cylinder reciprocating compressors. This now provides a scalable portfolio ranging from 2- to 8-cylinder compressors for a wide variety of capacity requirements.
With the new ECOLITE CO₂ series, BITZER is also showcasing air cooled condensing units for medium and low temperature applications that provide an easy entry into CO₂ applications thanks to their plug and play concept.
For propane applications, the ORBIT PRO series expands the scroll compressor portfolio with versions specifically optimised for heat pump, air conditioning, process cooling and IT cooling applications.
For industrial ammonia applications, BITZER is presenting the ACP SINGLE solution. Based on an OS.A95 screw compressor, this single-compressor unit enables flexible and redundant system concepts for demanding industrial refrigeration applications.
