Regensdorf, 12.10.2026 (PresseBox) - POWDOS is a gravimetric feeding solution engineered for the precise handling of extremely fine and sensitive powders. Designed for industries where accuracy, safety, and material integrity are critical, most notably the rapidly expanding battery sector, POWDOS ensures reproducible feeding performance for both batch and continuous processes. With battery manufacturers facing increasingly strict requirements for purity and zero‑contamination handling, POWDOS offers a unique solution: 100% of all product‑contact surfaces, including hopper, screws, agitators, inlets, outlets, and even shaft seals, can be fully coated.
This ensures maximum wear resistance and eliminates the risk of contamination with ferrous particles, a decisive quality criterion in modern battery materials processing.
With the complexity of battery formulations, manufacturers face the task of dosing powders with highly variable physical properties, including NMC, NCA, LCO, LFP, graphite, silicon, CMC, carbon black, and more. POWDOS addresses this challenge through high‑resolution weighing, advanced control algorithms, and a geometry that ensures consistent powder flow, even for very cohesive materials.
A strength of POWDOS is its operational versatility. The system supports batch sizes from 50 g up to 5 t and continuous feed rates ranging from 20 to 72,000 l/h, making it suitable for laboratory environments, pilot plants, and large‑scale industrial installations. Its compact design, low centre of gravity, and flexible hopper configurations enable seamless integration into space‑restricted production environments.
In the handling of toxic powders, containment performance is essential. POWDOS achieves the required OEL values through advanced sealing technologies, ensuring safe and enclosed operation. To protect product quality and avoid contamination (e.g. ferrous particles), Gericke offers a wide range of wear‑resistant executions, including tungsten carbide, ceramic and polymer coatings.
At the heart of every POWDOS system is the Gericke GUC‑F Gravimetric Controller, ensuring precise process control, intuitive operation, and seamless integration into modern automation infrastructures.
