WELDING establishes subsidiary WELDING Ingredientes SA de CV in Mexico
Hamburg/Mexico City, 27.05.2026 (PresseBox) - WELDING GmbH & Co. KG announces the establishment of its Mexican subsidiary, WELDING Ingredientes SA de CV. With this step, our family-owned company is expanding its international presence and strengthening its position in the Latin American market. Our goal is to combine our long-standing European distribution expertise and global sourcing network with local market knowledge and a direct presence in Mexico.
WELDING Ingredientes SA de CV has been established as an independent company and is headed by Managing Director Michael Kuhlmann. He brings 17 years of experience in the Mexican market, including 11 years in senior management positions. With his extensive knowledge of the local pharmaceutical and food industries, he will drive the expansion of our business in pharmaceutical ingredients and food additives in Mexico.

Our business model in Mexico is based on the combination of a global sourcing network and local presence. As WELDING Group, we have our own staff in India and China, two key sourcing markets for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and food additives. This network is further complemented by European sourcing channels.

WELDING Ingredientes SA de CV focuses on two business areas. In the pharmaceutical segment, we supply our customers with Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) from qualified sources in India, China, and Europe. Our ingredients comply with international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and are supported by the required documentation. In addition, we provide traceability, comprehensive documentation, and support in Regulatory Affairs (RA).
The second business area covers the distribution of food additives. Our portfolio ranges from ingredients for functional foods and dietary supplements to additives for processed foods. These include additives, preservatives, stabilizers, and functional ingredients from certified sources.
We see our competitiveness in the combination of Quality Management (QM) and cost efficiency. Through our established sourcing network in Asia, we are able to procure products directly from audited manufacturers while maintaining European quality standards.
