SIKA expands connected calibration with smartphone app
The new SIKA Calibrator App enables mobile monitoring of ongoing temperature calibrations. Users can keep track of set and actual values, remaining time and process status at any time – directly via smartphone or tablet.
Kaufungen, 10.03.2026 (PresseBox) - Temperature calibrations are precise but time-consuming. Depending on the application, calibration processes can take several hours. During this time, the operator mainly performs a monitoring role: checking the progress, reviewing measurement values and entering data on the calibrator when required.
With the new SIKA Calibrator App, SIKA expands its solutions for connected calibration technology with a practical mobile tool. The app allows users to follow ongoing calibration processes directly via smartphone – without having to repeatedly return to the device..
Calibration processes always in view
If the calibrator is connected to a network, the user can establish a connection between calibrator and smartphone by entering the device’s IP address. Both devices must be connected to the same network.
The app displays key information about the running calibration process, including:
set and actual temperature values
remaining time
status of the calibration process
information about the test item
This allows the user to quickly review the current progress of the calibration at any time.
Greater efficiency in daily calibration work
A particular advantage of the app is its automatic status notifications. The application informs the user as soon as input at the calibrator is required or when the calibration process has been completed.
Especially during long calibration runs, this avoids unnecessary trips back to the device. Users can attend to other tasks and are notified exactly when intervention is required.
The result: a more efficient calibration process and better use of working time.
A mobile addition to connected calibration technology
The SIKA Calibrator App is designed as a complementary monitoring tool. The application provides read-only access to calibrator data; control commands or direct operation of the device via the app are not possible.
The app is available for Apple iOS and Android and can be used free of charge.
With this solution, SIKA further expands its portfolio for digital and connected calibration processes with an additional practical feature for everyday calibration work.
