coconet expands Advisory Board with internationally experienced banking and payments executives

The two industry experts further strengthen coconet’s strategic capabilities through deep market expertise, international leadership experience and a strong track record at the intersection of product, technology and client business.
The appointments come at a time when coconet, following the successful execution of key strategic and organizational growth initiatives, is entering the next phase of scaling its platform and business.
Lars Sjögren brings extensive international leadership experience in payments and transaction banking. He has held senior roles at Nordic payments initiatives and at Danske Bank, including Chief Operating Officer and Global Head of Transaction Banking, where he built and scaled complex, technology-driven payment platforms with a strong focus on efficiency, scalability, and client value. Today, he is a professional board member across banks and fintech companies, and a senior advisor to a leading global management consultancy, working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and financial infrastructure.

Jan M. Kupfer contributes long-standing experience from corporate-, investment- and transaction banking, combined with a deep understanding of client and market dynamics. He previously served as Head of Corporates and member of the Executive Board of HypoVereinsbank / UniCredit and held various senior management positions at UniCredit, including Head of Global Transaction Banking for the Group and Head of Corporate Banking Region North. His background combines strategic leadership with a strong proximity to corporate clients and their decision-making processes. Today, he serves as non-executive Board member and financial advisor.

Within the Advisory Board, Lars Sjögren and Jan M.
