elderbrook solutions Receives BSFZ Certification: Development of Valido Recognized as Innovative Scientific Research
elderbrook solutions GmbH announces positive BSFZ decision for its Computerized System Validation Management Tool and presents Valido at the MARVIN Annual Conference, October 27-28
Biberach an der Riss, Germany, 21.10.2026 (PresseBox) - elderbrook solutions GmbH today announced that the development of Valido, the Computerized System Validation (CSV) management tool within its Quontrol Suite, has been recognized as innovative research by the BSFZ, the German certification body for research allowance. The positive decision confirms the innovative character of the technology behind Valido and marks a key milestone for the product.
Quality at ease for the entire validation lifecycle
Valido is an easy-to-use application suite for managing quality processes with a focus on oversight. It is built for life-science teams and software vendors who want to make computerized system validation simpler, faster and inspection-ready. With prefilled libraries requiring low setup and management effort, Valido can save up to 75% of validation time.
Key capabilities include:
Always inspection-ready: A central overview of all systems in use and their validation status across the lifecycle, including reviews, updates, migrations, revalidations, retirements and open tasks.
Your SOPs, your templates: Companies upload their own templates, and Valido follows the workflows defined in their SOPs, for example separate workflows for CSV and for SAS macros.
Pre-filled library: Ready-to-use user requirements and test scripts, delivered by system vendors, can be inserted with one click and edited freely. Valido takes care of traceability.
Automated routine work: Manual tasks such as lookups, calculations and repeated data entry are handled by the tool, so teams can focus on quality.
Smart task routing: Following the customer’s SOPs, Valido assigns tasks across roles and departments and notifies the responsible persons, allowing parallel work without delay.
Experts at your side: From setup and helpdesk support to best practices for running entire validation projects, the elderbrook team supports customers personally.
Addressing real-world validation challenges
Valido responds to challenges that life-science organizations and software vendors know well: Validation efforts can delay the introduction of new systems such as EDC, CTMS, eTMF or eQMS, and customers may hesitate to adopt new software or updates because of the effort involved. Valido is designed to remove these hurdles while keeping documentation robust enough to withstand an inspection.
“The BSFZ certification is an important confirmation for our team. It shows that Valido is more than a new tool: it is the result of genuine innovative research into how validation can be made simpler, more efficient and permanently inspection-ready. I’m especially excited to present Valido at the MARVIN Annual Conference this October, where I will give a talk on how life-science teams can make validation inspection-ready without the usual effort. We look forward to exchanging ideas with the community and showing what ‘quality at ease’ can mean in practice.” Claudia Horneck, Senior Expert Innovation, elderbrook solutions GmbH
