The tube preamplifier is built with the EF 86 pentode, which is operated as a triode and specially selected for its noise characteristics.
Even today, the UM 57 is still valued by numerous artists and producers worldwide and is used in many studios, especially for female voices and acoustic instruments, which it makes sound rich and full.

The KEM 975 is a vertical line array consisting of 8 small-diaphragm condenser capsules arranged in series. This design produces a non-rotationally symmetric polar pattern:
• Horizontal: classic cardioid
• Vertical: features of a directional mic with an opening angle of 30 degreesangle of coverage
It makes the system ideal for widely dispersed or moving sound sources, e.g. choirs, ensembles and more

Microtech Gefell was able to announce the successful realization of a major order of a special kind in the six-figure euro range.
The newly developed microphones MKM 403, which were gold-plated at the customer's request, are being used as part of a major project to renovate existing audio systems in Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.
A particular challenge was to develop a microphone that could take over the function of three of the microphones previously used on site in one mic

Only one microphone is in operation in the MKM 403, with two more serving as a backup. In addition, a miniature loudspeaker is integrated, which plays a test tone that is imperceptible to the human ear, which the three built-in microphones pick up and transmit to the audio system. If one microphone path is disturbed, the system switches to the next one.
