Ravenna, Italy, 13.08.2026 (PresseBox) - Tentamus Agriparadigma, an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory, has integrated a robotic system into its analytical workflow for the purification of food samples intended for pesticide residue testing. This innovation is particularly significant given the scale of the laboratory's operations: it processes over 40,000 samples annually in accordance with EN 15662, the European reference standard for multi-residue analysis in food.

How the system works. The robotic system processes the food sample extract by fully automating dSPE (dispersive solid-phase extraction) purification and the subsequent sample dilution steps. The process produces two ready-to-use vials for each sample: one optimized for GC-MS/MS analysis and the other for LC-MS/MS analysis. Together, they cover the complete multi-residue analytical spectrum required by current standards.

Efficiency and analytical quality. With a processing capacity of up to 120 samples per day, the robotic system enables the laboratory to maintain high throughput while reducing preparation times compared with the manual process. Automation eliminates operator-dependent variability, ensuring superior repeatability during the most critical stages of sample preparation. This directly improves the reliability of analytical results, lowers reanalysis rates, and reduces the risk of systematic errors, delivering tangible benefits for both data quality and overall operational efficiency.

Quality assured by ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. The laboratory operates under ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, the international standard that sets out the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. The introduction of the robotic system integrates seamlessly into the laboratory's quality management framework, further strengthening the traceability, documentation, and control of the analytical process.

About Tentamus Agriparadigma. Tentamus Agriparadigma is a private laboratory founded in 1987 and accredited by Accredia since 1993 (Accreditation No. 00061, UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017). Drawing on decades of experience, the laboratory provides analytical testing services and technical assistance across a wide range of fields. Through continuous investment, its instrumentation remains up to date and tailored to clients' specific needs. Its ongoing training and education program supports a highly specialized workforce. This has enabled the laboratory to expand its range of services while improving both quality and responsiveness.
