Weichs, 09.03.2026 (PresseBox) - Modern applications, from content creation to 3D design and CAD to AI and deep learning, are becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday business life. At the same time, complex applications place high demands on the performance of the required hardware, both in terms of computing power and energy efficiency. With the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 9000 Series processors, AMD is introducing a new generation of processors based on the high-performance Zen 5 architecture, featuring 4nm manufacturing technology and up to 12 cores and 24 threads. As a result, the new processors offer impressive performance gains in demanding applications while significantly optimizing energy consumption and heat generation, especially for AI inference edge applications.

Especially in the embedded environment, where performance per watt and long-term stability are crucial, E.E.P.D.`s SBC PROFIVE® MAM5, based on the new processor generation, creates a powerful and economical platform.

Form follows function: High performance in a compact micro-ATX format

With the new SBC PROFIVE® MAM5 micro-ATX mainboard, E.E.P.D., the board and system specialist and solution partner for customer-specific and standard embedded computer assemblies and systems based on x86, demonstrates the use of the new processors. With its choice of form factor, E.E.P.D. underscores the versatility of the new processors and enables the construction of powerful yet space-saving and cost-conscious systems with optimal conditions for both office applications and the gaming segment. In all areas, users benefit from a significant acceleration of their workflows, first-class performance, expanded possibilities for the use of AI, cost-effectiveness through durability and energy efficiency, and flexibility in a variety of application scenarios.

SBC PROFICE® MAM5: industrial quality „Made in Germany“

Based on the microarchitecture of the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 9000 Series processors, AMD is also introducing the AMD Epyc™ 4005. Here, modern technology supports the design of servers for small businesses and dedicated hosting providers with high demands on productivity, cost efficiency, ease of use, efficiency, and data protection. Key features include up to 16 powerful “Zen 5” cores, an L3 cache of 32 to 128 MB, and a TDP of 65 to 120 watts, up to 16% faster memory than the competition, and two channels of fast DDR5 memory with up to 192 GB capacity and numerous PCIe® 5 lanes for I/O expandability.

At Embedded World 2026, E.E.P.D. will present the SBC PROFICE® MAM5, an industrial single-board computer developed and manufactured in Germany in the micro-ATX standard, which supports both AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 9000 series processors and the EPYC™ 4005 processor series. E.E.P.D. is thus expanding the PROFIVE® brand range with another form factor “Made in Germany” with versatile application possibilities. As usual, E.E.P.D. relies on proven components and systems from the “Embedded Roadmap” and complements outstanding performance features and build quality with long-term security through availability and supply reliability.

E.E.P.D. at Embedded World 2026

Under the motto “Connecting the Embedded Community,” Embedded World 2026 focuses on aspects of the transformation of hardware and software solutions in the age of artificial intelligence, edge computing, and increased security requirements. Within this framework, E.E.P.D. will demonstrate a pioneering example for the future with its new development, based on advanced AMD technology.

Embedded World will take place from March 10 to 12, 2026, at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. Interested parties will find E.E.P.D. in Hall 1 at Booth 467. Visitors can register for free tickets using the voucher code “ew26visit” on the exhibition website.
