Quality and reliability – Made in Germany

Developed and manufactured in Germany, the DC300WS meets the highest quality standards. Operating 24/7, this DC/DC converter delivers its full power without fans over an extended temperature range from -20° to +60°C. With an operating altitude of up to 5000m, it is suitable for a wide range of operating conditions. In line with its innovative circuit design, Bicker Elektronik consistently uses high-quality components such as polymer-aluminum capacitors, resulting in an exceptionally long service life of over 10 years.

Highly efficient DC/DC converter with fanless contact cooling

The DC300WS is characterized by its high efficiency of up to 98% and an optimized thermal design, which results in minimal heat generation and particularly high reliability. In addition to the converter, the package includes a suitable thermal pad and four spacer bolts to ensure ideal heat management between the power components on the bottom of the board and the application's housing.

Comprehensive functionality for maximum flexibility

In addition to the jumper-selectable DC output voltage (12V / 19V / 24V), the DC300WS features a Remote On/Off function (Active-Low-Logic) for external control of the converter. For effective compensation of voltage drop in long output lines, a Remote Sense input is available to precisely and consistently reach the nominal output voltage at the load. From its high energy efficiency and flexibility in output voltage selection to its robust design with protective functions, the DC300WS is ready to meet the requirements of various applications.

Optimized power supply for IPC and BoxPC systems with latest processor generation

Thanks to its compact design, the powerful and fanless DC/DC converter DC300WS with selectable output voltage is the ideal power supply solution for a wide range of single-voltage motherboards and fanless computer systems. The new DC300WS has been specifically optimized by Bicker Elektronik to ensure stable power supply to current motherboards with the latest generation Intel® Core™ processors. These CPUs exhibit highly dynamic power consumption with extreme power spikes in a short period. When selecting a suitable power supply, it is important to consider this behavior. The circuit design of the DC300WS ensures excellent regulation stability, even with demanding CPU power levels (PL2).

The diagrams illustrate the difference between the optimized BICKER DC300WS (Image 14) and a non-optimized standard converter (Image 15). In the oscillogram, it is clear that high dynamic load spikes of the CPU in Boost Mode lead to critical voltage drops in a non-optimized converter, which lie outside the ATX specification and can thus cause unstable system behavior. The DC300WS, however, ensures stable supply voltage within the specification even under such challenges.

Optional enclosure set for DC300WS available

The PSZ-1111 enclosure set has been specially designed for the open-frame DC300WS converter and includes all necessary components for easy and secure mounting. The robust aluminium housing consists of a U-chassis and a cover. Additionally, the set includes a thermal pad for component protection. Suitable mounting screws are also included in the PSZ-1111 package.
