Toolcraft receives Bavarian Founder Award 2014 in the category „Newcomer“
(Initiative Mittelstand)On 22th May 2014 Bernd Krebs received the Bavarian Founder Award in the category „Newcomer“ at the entrepreneurs’ conference in Nuremberg. This joint project of Sparkassen, Stern, ZDF und Porsche highlights exceptional success in founding and maintaining companies in its different development stages. On the 8th of May Toolcraft already received the Middle Franconian Founder Award, the regional counterpart of this award.
Coveted award
The Bavarian Founder Award is awarded since 1997 and honours the exemplary performance of companies and founders in developing innovative and reliable business ideas, in setting up a new company and excellent entrepreneurial commitment. The award consists of six categories: concept, startUp, newcomer, succession, special prize and live work. The category “Newcomer” rewards such founders, whose companies are at least five years old and reached an extraordinary growth in revenues in a very short time – with the potential to market leadership.
Continuous expansion – employee as a success factor
Since its foundation by Bernd Krebs in 1989, Toolcraft has followed a dedicated strategy of growth by innovation, excellency and highest product quality. With 254 employees altogether, today, the parent plant in Georgensgmünd and the mould making facilities in Spalt operate on a total floor space of more than 10.500 m². One important success factor is the recruiting and long-term binding of highly qualified employees. In his presentation at the entrepreneurs’ conference Bernd Krebs reflected the measures been taken with success in this field at Toolcraft since the last 25 years.
