Open Data Spaces. Towards the IDS Open Data Ecosystem
New position paper available
Dortmund, 14.02.2019 (PresseBox) - Open Data is widely accepted as a driver of innovation and an anchor for trust and transparency. A relevant aspect of the International Data Spaces ecosystem is the provision and application of Open Data to foster and enhance data-driven businesses.
This position paper gives an overview of the current state of Open Data, describes significant intersections and potentials of joining the principles and technologies of Open Data and IDS and finally proposes a concrete application and architecture to initiate a short-term adoption.

Über International Data Spaces e. V.:
With the founding of the International Data Spaces Association, business and research are actively participating in the design of a trustworthy architecture for data management. More than 90 companies and institutions of various industries and sizes from 18 countries, including several Fortune-500-companies, global medium-sized companies, software and system houses, are members of the association. The aim of the IDSA is to guarantee data sovereignty through an open and manufacturer-independent architecture for a peer-to-peer network that enables the use control of data from all areas.
