Linz, 17.02.2017 (PresseBox) - The organizers of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship St. Moritz are relying on the CELUM software for the collection and management of image and video material. At the big ski event, the Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution of the company from Linz ensures that the press and journalists from around the world are provided with current images and videos from the Engadine region and that the employees and volunteers on site are supplied with information. Within the first nine days of the World Ski Championship, roughly 3,000 content items with a total data volume of 30 GB were made available via the CELUM software.

Two years ago, the municipalities Pontresina and St. Moritz as well as the Golf Club Engadin already decided to centrally collect and manage their content via the CELUM software. In that context, they also agreed on implementing the DAM solution by CELUM for the 2017 world cup in St. Moritz. The solution of the Swiss CELUM partner brix cross media was implemented. Thanks to the flexibility of the systems, adjustments are also possible at short notice: For example, using brix:anura, a widget was integrated on the world cup’s website (www.stmoritz2017.ch) in a single day. It collects the 15 best photos of each world cup day and allows the media and journalists to download these in a printable quality.

"At a large event like the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship St. Moritz, thousands of new photos and videos are created every day that need to be made available quickly and reliably - and with great flexibility and as little effort for the organizing team as possible. With brix cross media and CELUM we have partners by our side that made that possible", explains Claudia Jann, Head of PR & Media at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship St. Moritz.

Michael J. Kräftner, CELUM founder and CEO: "We aspire to offer solutions to our customers that are efficient, allow target-group appropriate rendition of content, can be seamlessly integrated in third-party systems and can handle massive data volumes with ease. That is crucial particularly in the case of big events, for huge amounts of different types of assets have to be managed and distributed in the shortest amount of time. We are thus especially happy that the organizers of the world cup in St. Moritz rely on CELUM."

The municipalities Pontresina and St. Moritz, Golf Club Engadin as well as the official appearance of the ski world cup join a whole series of top Swiss brands that already rely on CELUM – such as SCOTT Sports, Mammut, Victorinox, RicolaOettinger Davidoff and Helvetia.
