MSC Technologies presents 5.0-inch (12.7 cm) TFT LCD module family from Evervision for a wide variety of industrial applications
Stutensee, 23.04.2015 (PresseBox) - MSC Technologies, a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, a business region of Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT), presents a new family of 5-inch (12.7 cm) TFT-LCD modules, part number VGG804821-6UFLWx, from Evervision. MSC Technologies is an Evervision key distributor. The price-optimized displays are suitable for a wide variety of applications, for example, in an industrial environment in human machine interface (HMI) solutions or applications in building automation for access control systems. Use in outside areas is also possible.
The VGG804821-6UFLWx module family consists of a TFT-LCD panel, driver circuit and LED backlight. Lifetime of the LED backlight is specified as 60,000 hours (ambient temperature 25°C). The display has a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, the brightness is 500 cd/m² and the contrast ratio is 400:1. The color palette is up to 16.7 million colors (8 bit per color). The ultra-wide viewing technology implemented enlarges the horizontal viewing angle to 150 degrees and vertical viewing angle to 140 degrees. Evervision's modules are available with resistive touch panel as well as with integrated improved projected capacitive touchpanel (IPCT).
The operating temperature of the universal display products ranges from -20°C to +70°C and the storage temperature from -30°C to +80°C.
The active display area is 108.0 (H) x 64.8 (V) mm. The display surface is equipped with antiglare film and hard coating 3H. The compact mechanical housing has dimensions of 118.5 (W) x 77.55 (H) x 3.4 (D) mm. The VGG804821 module family has the same external dimensions as the VGG804807 predecessor models, which can still be ordered. All Evervision's products are long-term available.
