TQ - A partner for customer-specific IoT devices and gateways

Seefeld, 25.02.2015 (PresseBox) - As a manufacturer of embedded CPU modules, TQ offers diverse solution components for IoT devices and gateways. The standard product range comprises ARM, x86 and Power Architecture-based modules and platforms. With a strong development team and in-house electronics production and assembly, TQ puts its focus on customer-specific solutions for IoT. Here it concentrates on hardware development and production in addition to the embedded modules.
The range of services of TQ comprises the complete product life cycle from the design, development and production right up to the after-sales service. The know-how of the 150-person strong TQ development team with its diverse specializations allows IoT components to be created for different areas of application such as medicine, transport and logistics, smart building and industry 4.0. With the medicine, aviation and automotive certifications, the development and production processes at TQ can be coordinated to meet the sector-specific demands. All the services are offered modularly for both component parts and whole devices and systems.
The pre-qualified OEM and ODM solution components such as processor modules, hardware kits and modular system platforms help customers to minimize costs and development times, as well as the certification and product maintenance work.
TQ is in direct contact with processor manufacturers such as Intel, Freescale and Texas Instruments and works closely with software partners. In return, customers benefit from the integrated design from the idea to the finished product.
With the help of the evaluation platforms developed by TQ, such as the EVALx1000, which is equipped with an Intel Quark processor and the Intel IoT Gateway Software Stack, it is very easy to implement feasibility tests and pre-developments. TQ offers the right starter kits for all embedded modules, which minimizes development times while at the same time providing the opportunity to start software developments simultaneously while creating the hardware. Singleboard designs such as the SBCa335x, equipped with TI's ARM Cortex-A8 processor, are examples of very compact solutions which can also be implemented as so-called full-custom designs.
Integrated hardware features such as TPM (Trusted Platform Module) and corresponding software packages support important topics like security. The modular and therefore easy to expand x86 BoxPC QBox is an example of how TQ's embedded standard platforms can be linked by combining pre-qualified software stacks into a secure and powerful "application-ready" gateway. Equipped with an Intel Atom from the E3800 range, TPM 1.2 as well as the Intel IoT Gateway software solution, all the aspects of data pre-processing (analysis and filtering) and secure data communication, as well as the secure device update and management, are covered easily and reliably.
