Freiburg, 05.12.2016 (PresseBox) - United Planet has won the tender for a framework contract for the Caritas Austria. The contract simplifies the introduction of new employee portals for the nine Austrian Caritas organizations. Vienna, Linz and Graz are already improving their teamwork with it today.

The Caritas Austria is one of the largest social aid organizations in Austria. A smooth flow of internal communication is especially important when helping people in need. In order to bolster this, the new employee portal, based on the software Intrexx, went into operation in the organizations of the Archdiocese of Vienna as well as in the Dioceses of Linz and Graz. Other Dioceses could also follow.

Focusing on what matters – instead of drowning in emails

The challenging requirements specification from the Caritas required multi-client capability, barrier-free access and the ability to model individual requirements. Corinna Sharma, responsible for Internal Communication at the Caritas of the Archdiocese of Vienna: “The portal improves the cross-departmental communication within the organization. Relevant information is available centrally. The employee portal provides us with the ability to make the various working realities experiential for all employees – regardless of which department they are in. It is the attempt to communicate at eye level and to simplify everyday work and give it a clearer structure.”

Active for people in need – with lightning-quick ideas

A special feature of the Caritas Vienna’s Digital Workplace is the innovation platform. Here, the employees can straightforwardly submit suggestions for improvements or ideas. “Employees are also always experts in their immediate work environment. With this platform, the Caritas wants to make the expertise of the employees accessible to furthermore guarantee rapid and unbureaucratic aid for those in need.”

The application was developed together with the Austrian implementation partner Xinger Solutions (http://www.xinger.org/). The company from Absdorf in Lower Austria also supervised the introduction of the Digital Workplace.
